Trap maintenance and cleaning

Correct and thorough cleaning of Pilkarra traps will ensure they operate correctly and will not transfer diseases between trapping sites or animals.
Ensure all droppings and bait are removed from mechanisms. This applies to under the tread plate. Bait or droppings under the plate will prevent it depressing correctly and will not allow the trap to activate.
Pilkarra traps can be cleaned with a soft bristle nylon brush and hot soapy water.
Ensure the soap used is fragrance free and the trap is rinsed thoroughly before being used again.
